Join us for Energy Camp:
a collaborative “unconference” for anyone interested in reducing IT-related carbon footprints.
When: Monday, May 18, 2009
Where: Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Convention Center
How: RSVP here
Getting to the unvarnished truth about which solutions really deliver on the promise of greater energy efficiency is a difficult task. To help IT professionals shift through the variables and develop real answers to tough problems, Interop brings you Energy Camp: a one-day unconference program taking place Monday, May 18, 2009 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
Whether you’re an IT professional, end-user of technology, or vendor of hardware, software or infrastructure solutions, the Energy Camp unconference is for you! At unconferences, the agenda and topics are created by the attendees the morning of the event. This model ensures the most critical issues are identified and discussed while offering every attendee the chance to be heard. The Energy Camp unconference will feature expert facilitators who will assist in channeling the energy, ideas and enthusiasm of the participants - creating the ultimate opportunity for forward thinkers to meet like-minded people, network, discuss relevant trends, and make new deals.
If you’ve never been to one of our unconferences before, check out this Quicktime video from our other event, Startup Camp (RealPlayer version).
Ways to Save the Earth
A major tenet of unconferences is that the sum of the expertise of the people in the audience is greater than the sum of expertise of the people on stage. With this in mind, Energy Camp is pleased to provide “Ways to Save the Earth”, an interactive wiki page based on the wisdom of the crowd.
Whether it’s an idea about how to run more efficient data centers, reduce the carbon footprint of your own PC, or be a more efficient recycler, it needs to be shared with the world. That’s what the “Ways to Save the Earth” wiki page is for. By making this wiki available to everyone with a stake in the earth’s sustainability, we can all do our little part (or big part) to make a difference. We hope you’ll join us!
